The Role :
TripleLift is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with a strong programming background to join our team. We are a fast-growing startup in the advertising technology sector, trying to tackle some of the most challenging problems facing the industry. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for building a resilient, secure, and efficient cloud based platform. This includes designing and building internal development platforms, working with application engineers to improve deployment and release processes, as well as constantly searching for ways to improve our platform.

From our early days, we've always believed in using the right tools for the right job, and continue to explore new technology options as we grow. The cloud engineering team uses the following technologies at TripleLift :
- Tools : Terraform, Terragrunt, Docker, Nomad, GitHub Actions, Backstage, Prometheus, Grafana, Vault,
Consul, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, Kafka Connect, Puppet
- Databases : AeroSpike, RDS MySQL/Postgres, TimeSeries DB
- Languages : TypeScript, Java, Python, GoLang Node.js and more
- Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud (GCP) to keep everything humming
Responsibilities :
- Drive and champion the Site Reliability culture at Triplelift
- Build and scale the technology infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand
- Automate deployment, monitoring, management and incident response
- Build tools that make every engineer more productive and enable self-service
- Work with each team to optimize their application performance
- Search for industry best practices and use them to drive our team forward.
- Assist Engineers with maintaining their services by measuring and monitoring service level objectives and indicators
- Work with teams to optimize and reduce cloud costs
- Be the driving force for correct incident response and blameless postmortems
- Monitor and troubleshoot platform issues
Desired Skills and Attributes :
- Solid background of working as a software/cloud engineer with strong knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure
- Significant experience in building APIs and services leveraging TypeScript/NodeJs or GoLang or Python
- Ability to code proficiently in at least one object oriented programming language, GoLang or TypeScript
- Ability to design, implement and integrate infrastructure with developer platform Interfaces
- Comfortable taking ownership of projects and showcasing key accomplishments;
- Loves programming and automating repetitive work;
- Skilled in software provisioning, configuration management, and infrastructure automation tools;
- Understanding of what it takes to build self-healing systems in the cloud
- Understands best practices of application, data, and cloud security
- Understands best practices around building scalable, reliable, and highly available secure infrastructure
- Understanding of container technologies, like Docker and what it takes to containerize applications.
- Strives for continued learning opportunities to build upon craft
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal oversight
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Desire to accept feedback and constructive criticism
- Extremely strong and demonstrable work ethic
- Proven academic and/or professional achievement.
Education Requirement :
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical subject is preferred, although candidates with relevant experience who
hold other degrees will be considered.
- Experience Requirement :
- At least five years of working experience in a professional, collaborative environment.
