Role Purpose. The role is responsible for managing the End User Computing Device and Estate as primary role to ensure the effective deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of Intune for endpoint management and security within the organization. You will also be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of Microsoft Intune solutions in a hybrid environment. The role ensures that those changes meet the Change compliance and SLAs along with error-free Deployments of Application, Patch and Operating System.
Acts as the conduit between IT Asset Management team, EUC Design and EUC Support translating customer, business, and platform and service requirements into technical development. Efficiently utilizing administrative, Co-ordination and Vendor Management skills to manage the End User Devices. Experience in Software Packaging and Patch Management are mandatory. Operating System Deployment and Mobile Device Management skills would be an added advantage.
Should be an expert in Windows and some basic knowledge of MAC and Linux. Key Accountabilities. Design and implement Microsoft Intune solutions for endpoint management, including device enrolment, policy configuration, and application deployment. Implement security policies and configurations to ensure the protection of endpoints through Intune.
Manage security baselines and compliance policies to meet organizational security standards. Package and deploy applications using Intune, ensuring proper distribution and version control. Collaborate with application owners to streamline the deployment process. Create and manage configuration profiles to enforce settings and restrictions on devices.
Implement conditional access policies to control access based on device compliance. Plan and execute upgrades to Intune services and stay current with feature releases. Manage patching for Windows & Third-Party Patching, and Operating System and updates for Intune-managed devices. Additionally manage EUC Device Administration and Control to achieve compliance to device policies.
Documentation and upkeep of SOPs required for EUC to deliver the assignments. Develop, manage, and optimise the EUC change stack and ensure the SLAs and targets are met. Sound understanding and experience of MDM (Mobile Device Management). Understand and conduct a continuous review of current consumer technologies: what they are, how they work, why they might have relevance to the business.
Management of EUC tools and technology, remaining cost conscious and drive innovation, automation, and efficiency for end-user technology. Adherence to key information/policies/processes relating to systems. Carry out risk assessments against new and existing technology, being sure to report and act upon any weaknesses that are discovered. Build, maintain and mature the EUC deployment landscape globally.
Maintain the EUC estate register. Experience And Skillsets Required. Minimum 6 years in a technical role. Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum 2 years of experience managing Intune. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft Intune solutions. In-depth knowledge of endpoint management, security, and compliance using Intune. Familiarity with modern management approaches, including co-management with Configuration Manager or any other tools like Ivanti Endpoint Manager etc.
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, etc.) for automation and customization. Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Intune and Azure Administrator Associate are a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Understands and utilises automation and available tools, strengthening own knowledge of functionality and looking to contribute to future development. Proven ability to create solutions for a variety of projects. Being able to explain complex issues in simple terms.
