Job Title : ServiceNow DevOps Specialist
Role Overview :
The ServiceNow DevOps Specialist is responsible for implementing and optimizing ServiceNow solutions tailored to meet organizational needs, particularly focusing on DevOps integrations, workflows, and automation. The role requires a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including experience with Customer Service Management (CSM) modules, integrations, and scripting. The specialist will design, develop, and maintain advanced features to enhance the platform's functionality while collaborating with teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
1. ServiceNow Implementation and Configuration :
- Design and implement ServiceNow solutions with a strong focus on the CSM module to enhance customer-facing services.
- Customize ServiceNow components, including Record Producers, Flows, Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and Access Control Lists (ACLs) to meet specific requirements.
- Build and enhance ServiceNow portals for user-friendly interaction and functionality.
2. DevOps Integration and Automation :
- Integrate ServiceNow with DevOps tools and frameworks to streamline CI/CD pipelines and enable efficient workflow management.
- Develop automation for ServiceNow tasks, such as release management, incident resolution, and change request handling.
- Leverage scripting to create robust workflows and processes, ensuring alignment with DevOps principles.
3. Integration Expertise :
- Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and other integration tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to ensure seamless data exchange and system functionality.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to define and implement integration strategies.
4. Scripting and Development :
- Use JavaScript and other scripting languages to enhance ServiceNow functionality, customize modules, and build workflows.
- Develop Flow Designer workflows to automate and streamline processes.
- Ensure that all scripts are optimized for performance and maintainability.
5. Communication and Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose tailored solutions.
- Provide clear documentation for all implemented features and workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Mandatory Skills :
- ServiceNow DevOps Integration : Expertise in integrating ServiceNow with DevOps tools and automating DevOps processes.
- CSM Module Expertise : Hands-on experience in implementing and customizing the Customer Service Management module.
- Scripting Knowledge : Proficiency in JavaScript, with the ability to create and maintain custom workflows and automations.
- Record Producers and Flows : Extensive experience in designing and customizing Record Producers and Flow Designer workflows.
- ServiceNow Customizations : Strong knowledge of Business Rules, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs to enhance platform functionality.
- Portal Development : Proven experience in designing and maintaining user-friendly ServiceNow portals.
- Integration Capabilities : Proficient in using REST/SOAP APIs for seamless integrations with third-party systems.
