The person in this role will be responsible for understanding the basic technologies used by the technical teams, creating relevant training content, and facilitating the learning process. This includes designing courses, creating assignments, and researching new tools and technologies that can enhance the skills and performance of the ETL/Dev/QA teams. Additionally, the individual should be able to work with data, particularly through SQL and Excel, and should be proactive in exploring new technologies that could benefit the teams. Understand Technologies Used by ETL Teams.
Engage in discussions with the ETL teams to learn the details of the technologies they are using (e.g., ETL tools, databases, data integration technologies).
Stay updated on the tools and technologies used in the ETL, development, and QA domains. Create Technical Courses and Assignments.
Develop tailored training programs, including technical courses, workshops, and practical assignments, to address the teams specific learning needs.
Ensure the training content is up-to-date, accurate, and engaging, and provide resources to support team development. Software Domain Knowledge
Qualifications: Have prior experience working in a software domain such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) or data archival systems. Understanding how these systems interact with ETL processes would be highly beneficial.
Exploring New Tools/Technologies:Keep up with trends in the ETL/Dev/QA fields and identify emerging tools, frameworks, and best practices that can improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Research new technologies to integrate into the training materials or existing workflows.
Working Knowledge of SQL and Excel,Be able to write basic to intermediate SQL queries for data analysis and troubleshooting, as well as to develop exercises or examples for training purposes.
Use Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting, and possibly integrate Excel into training content when relevant.
Research and Develop Content.
Research new platforms, tools, and techniques that the ETL teams might be using or considering.
Develop training content that helps the team get up to speed with these tools, covering the technical features and practical applications.
Experience: A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A masters degree could be an added advantage.At least 4-6 years of experience in a technical role (e.g., software development, ETL development, data engineering).Experience with instructional design, creating technical training programs, or teaching in a corporate environment would be ideal.Experience in the healthcare software domain, particularly with EHR or data archival systems, is a plus."
