Job Summary:We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing Executive (Medical Representative) to join our sales and marketing team.
The Medical Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling the companys pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and hospitals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build long-term relationships with healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Promotion: Promote and sell the companys pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals in assigned territories. Conduct regular visits to doctors, hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to present product information, benefits, and features.
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets, increase product awareness, and generate leads. Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure brand loyalty and repeat business.
Market Analysis & Reporting: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer preferences to gather actionable insights and adapt strategies accordingly.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, product performance, and market analysis, to management. Identify potential growth opportunities within the assigned area and propose actions to capitalize on them.
Product Knowledge & Education: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the companys products, their benefits, and how they compare to competitive products.
Educate healthcare professionals on the safe and effective use of the companys products, answering any queries they may have. Attend product training sessions and stay updated on industry advancements and regulatory changes.
Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, and pharmacists.
Provide high-quality customer service, ensuring that healthcare professionals have the support and information they need to make informed decisions.
Address customer concerns or complaints and work with the team to provide solutions promptly. Marketing Campaign Support: Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional events to increase brand awareness and product adoption.
Participate in conferences, seminars, and trade shows to network with industry professionals and promote products. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials, brochures, and product demonstrations.
Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all sales and promotional activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and product orders.
Complete required administrative tasks, including reporting and documentation, in a timely manner.
Key Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical representation, or marketing within the healthcare sector.
Experience with medical products or a background in medical sales is preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical terminology, and the healthcare industry.
Ability to effectively communicate product information and benefits to healthcare professionals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentations. Additional Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong sales skills with a results-driven approach and the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Good understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
Certifications (Optional but Preferred): Certification in Pharmaceutical Sales or Medical Representative Training would be beneficial.Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and goal-oriented with a proactive approach to sales.
Ability to build trust and rapport with healthcare professionals and customers. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
High level of professionalism and ethical standards when representing the company and its products. Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
