Windows Server / Linux Server Administrator - Azure Platform

Qty : 4 Nos (1 per each application platform i.e. Alteryx, RStudio, Trifacta, Denodo)

Location : Remote,Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad

Responsibilities :

- Server Administration : Manage and administer both Windows and Linux servers hosting Alteryx, Trifacta, RStudio, and Denodo applications. Ensure servers are properly configured, secured, and optimized for performance.

Application Management :

- Alteryx : Install, configure, and maintain Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and Alteryx Connect. Manage Alteryx workflows, schedules, and user permissions. Ensure high availability and optimal performance of Alteryx applications.

- Trifacta : Install and manage Trifacta Wrangler and Trifacta Wrangler Enterprise. Oversee data wrangling processes, user access, and integration with other data sources. Troubleshoot issues related to data preparation and transformation.

- RStudio : Deploy and maintain RStudio Server and RStudio Connect. Manage R scripts, Shiny applications, and user access. Ensure performance optimization and scalability for statistical computing and data visualization.

- Denodo : Administer Denodo Platform, including Denodo Virtual DataPort, Denodo Scheduler, and Denodo Data Catalog. Configure data virtualization, manage data sources, and ensure efficient query performance.

Basic Java Troubleshooting :

1. Java Applications : Diagnose and resolve basic Java issues related to applications, including memory management problems, JVM tuning, and application crashes.

2. Logs & Performance : Analyse Java application logs and identify performance issues. Utilize basic profiling tools to optimize Java applications running on both Windows and Linux servers.

3. Performance Monitoring : Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to track server and application performance. Analyse metrics, logs, and other performance data to resolve issues and optimize resource usage.

4. Security & Compliance : Apply security best practices and compliance standards for Windows and Linux servers, as well as for the applications. Implement appropriate access controls, encryption, and data protection measures.

5. Backup & Recovery : Develop and manage backup strategies for applications and servers. Ensure regular backups are performed and can be restored quickly to meet business continuity requirements.

6. Troubleshooting & Support : Provide advanced support for Windows and Linux servers, and resolve complex issues related to Alteryx, Trifacta, RStudio, and Denodo applications with the help of vendor support. Act as a point of escalation for technical issues and coordinate with vendors if necessary.

7. Automation & Scripting : Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline server management, application deployment, and maintenance tasks. Utilize PowerShell, Bash, or Python for task automation.

8. Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, application setups, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.

9. Collaboration : Work closely with data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence teams to support the integration and optimization of Alteryx, Trifacta, RStudio, and Denodo applications. Provide guidance and support for application-specific queries and requirements.

10. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest advancements in server management, cloud infrastructure, and application technologies. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of server and application management.

Requirements :

- Extensive experience in administering Windows Server and Linux environments.

- Hands- on experience with Azure Virtual Machines and applications including Alteryx/ Trifacta/ RStudio, or Denodo.

- 4+ years of experience in server administration with a focus on managing applications on Windows and Linux servers.

- Proven experience with Alteryx, Trifacta, RStudio, and Denodo.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with expertise in troubleshooting server and application issues.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (i.e., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and experience with automation tools.

- Azure certifications and certifications specific to the applications (i.e., Alteryx Designer/Server, Denodo Platform) are a plus.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize both Windows and Linux servers, with expertise in high-availability applications.

- Detailed knowledge of Alteryx/ Trifacta/ RStudio or Denodo applications, including deployment, configuration, and performance tuning.

- Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements for server and application management.

- Ability to analyze and resolve performance, configuration, and application-specific issues effectively.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and support a collaborative environment.

- Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business needs, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
