As a Senior SharePoint 2013 / 2016 / 2019 developer with expertise in client-side code custom development, you likely have a solid foundation in both SharePoint development and front-end technologies

Here are some key areas where your skills and experience would be valuable:

SharePoint 2013 / 2016 / 2019 Development:

Custom Solutions Development

: Building custom solutions using SharePoints server-side API (C#) to create web parts, event receivers, timer jobs, and other server-side components

Workflows:

Developing custom workflows using SharePoint Designer or Visual Studio, integrating them with custom lists/libraries, and automating business processes

Custom Master Pages and Page Layouts:

Designing and implementing custom master pages, page layouts, and themes to customize the look and feel of SharePoint sites

Web Parts Development:

Creating custom web parts using Visual Studio or SharePoint Designer, leveraging JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX for dynamic user experiences

InfoPath Forms:

Designing and implementing custom forms using InfoPath, including form validation, data connections, and integration with SharePoint lists

Search Customization:

Customizing the SharePoint search experience, including configuring search scopes, managed properties, and custom search web parts

Client-Side Development:

JavaScript, jQuery:

Developing client-side solutions using JavaScript and jQuery to enhance user interfaces, create custom forms, and interact with SharePoints REST API

RESTful Services:

Utilizing SharePoints REST API for CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on lists, libraries, and other SharePoint entities

SPServices:

Implementing client-side solutions using SPServices, a jQuery library for SharePoint, to perform various tasks like querying lists, updating list items, and managing user permissions

AngularJS/React/Vue

js:

Building Single Page Applications (SPAs) or custom components using modern JavaScript frameworks to create responsive and interactive user experiences

Client-Side Rendering (CSR):

Using CSR to customize the rendering of SharePoint list views, forms, and web parts without modifying the underlying SharePoint files

Integration and Customization:

External Data Integration:

Integrating external data sources with SharePoint using Business Connectivity Services (BCS), REST API, or custom

NET connectors

Azure Integration:

Leveraging Azure services such as Azure Functions, Azure AD for authentication, Azure Storage for file management, and Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation

Power Platform Integration:

Building Power Apps for custom forms, Power Automate (formerly Flow) for workflow automation, and Power BI for data visualization and reporting

Best Practices and Governance:

Code Quality and Testing:

Following best practices for code organization, documentation, and implementing unit tests for SharePoint components

Security:

Implementing security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), user permissions, and data encryption

Performance Optimization:

Optimizing SharePoint solutions for performance, including minimizing page load times, reducing server calls, and caching data where appropriate

Governance and Compliance:

Adhering to governance policies, managing content lifecycle, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Migration and Upgrade:

Upgrade Planning:

Assisting in planning and executing SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online migration or upgrading to newer SharePoint versions

Content Migration:

Developing scripts or using third-party tools for migrating content, permissions, and customizations between SharePoint environments

Note:

Your role as a Senior SharePoint 2013 developer with client-side code expertise would involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, architecting solutions, coding, testing, and deploying custom SharePoint applications

Staying updated with the latest SharePoint development trends, such as the transition to SharePoint Online and the use of Microsoft 365 services, would also be beneficial for your role
