Hiring Field operation & maintenance Engineer For Airtel

JD – FME (Engineer/Sr. Engineer)
As a FME you will work towards the following:

• Will attend on-site to identify and actively work to resolve network, system and related telecom faults
• To quickly and efficiently close the work orders - reactive and proactive, that are dispatched to the Field force
• To work and train towards providing exceptional customer service, in a timely, always cost effective and quality manner by adopting safe working practices.
• All activity for site to be part of FME scope – Operations, Physical Optimization and any upgrade etc.

1 Key tasks and responsibilities

• Always Comply with Health and Safety requirements & guidelines
• Regular Operation & Maintenance for all Technology and eqpts.
• Responsible for Preventive maintenance of sites & GIS data collection
• Rectification of all types of active alarms & faults
• Coordination with all stake holders & escalation for resolution of the issues
• Driving network improvement initiatives
• Interact with CTEL for Network optimization & performance related issues
• Coordinate with 3PP service providers – Fiber, TOCO, OEM, OPCOs
• Interact with TSG for immediate resolution of Customer Complaints
• Troubleshooting along with rigger for cellular radio and antenna swaps, legacy cable upgrades from coaxial to fiber, site upgrades, RF optimizations, MW alignments and grow-degrow etc.
• Responsible for undertaking replacement of all type of cards & equipment
• Keep diligent records and accurately update both internal Field Operations and Customer systems where necessary.
• Spare management and spares life cycle
• Ensure that all equipment, vehicle and tools are maintained properly. All servicing and calibration dates are managed on time.
• Support and cooperate with all internal and external customers

2 Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/BE in Electronics & communication (Preferred) or in other engineering fields

2.1 Experience:

• .0.6to 5 years’ experience as FME
• Knowledge of Ericsson / Nokia / Huawei / ZTE BTS/eNodeB equipment
• Knowledge of MW equipment of various vendors like Ceragon, Huawei, Ericsson etc.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices within an operational environment – Essential
• Demonstrable basic experience within a field operations environment of a mobile or telecommunications network provider – Desirable
• Demonstrable basic understanding of RF theory and practice, data communications and networking - Desirable
