The Teacher Librarian - IBDP plays a critical role in supporting the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) by providing information, resources, and guidance for both students and faculty. They are responsible for managing the library, collaborating with teachers in curriculum development, and fostering a culture of research and critical thinking. The Teacher Librarian - IBDP serves as a vital link between the library, academic departments, and the IBDP community.
Key Responsibilities:
Curate and manage the library collection to support the IBDP curriculum
Collaborate with teachers to integrate information literacy into the curriculum
Provide research guidance and support to students and faculty
Develop and implement innovative library programs and services
Facilitate access to digital resources and technology for IBDP students and teachers
Participate in the selection and evaluation of educational resources
Stay updated with trends in library science and educational technology
Organize and promote library events and author visits
Conduct information literacy and research skills workshops
Support academic honesty and ethical use of information
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Library Science or related field
Experience in an educational or library setting, preferably with the IBDP
Demonstrated knowledge of the International Baccalaureate curriculum
Strong understanding of information literacy and research methods
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and digital resources
Familiarity with cataloging and classification systems
