Role Overview:

Tavant Technologies is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and frameworks that support our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with data scientists and analysts to integrate various data sources and ensure the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of data.

• Strong data modeling skills.
• Design and implement robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for seamless data integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs and requirements.
• Optimize data storage and processing to enhance performance and scalability of data flows.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and relevant technologies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through continuous testing and validation processes.
• Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies related to data engineering and analytics.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL tools, and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and managing data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and scripting.
• Strong expertise in SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, etc.).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java or Scala is a plus.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
