Android Developer - Java/Kotlin (1-4 yrs)

Job Description :

The core responsibilities for the job include the following :

- Develop, test, and deploy Android applications using Java and Kotlin.

- Ensure applications are robust, scalable, and optimized for performance.

- Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend developers to implement new features.

- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

- Debug and resolve issues in existing applications.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.

- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries into the application.

- Work with backend teams to ensure seamless integration.

- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure reliability.

- Optimize application performance and improve usability.

- Stay updated with the latest trends in Android development, Java, Kotlin, and mobile application technology.

- Suggest and implement improvements in application development and workflow.

Requirements :

- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin for Android application development.

- Strong knowledge of Android Studio, Gradle, and version control systems like Git.

- Familiarity with Android Jetpack components (e. g., ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room).

- Experience with MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture design patterns.

- Knowledge of Material Design principles and guidelines.

- Experience working with RESTful APIs and JSON.

- Proficiency with local data storage solutions like SQLite or Room.

- Strong debugging skills and ability to use profiling tools to identify and fix performance issues.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Jetpack Compose.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Android development.

- Familiarity with Firebase services (e. g., Crashlytics, Analytics, Push Notifications).

- Prior experience publishing applications to the Google Play Store.

Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
