Key Responsibilities (KRA):
Financial Oversight:
1. Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, ensuring accuracy in day-to-day transactions and reports.
2. Prepare detailed financial statements, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets, for internal and external stakeholders.
3. Develop and implement systems for better financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making.
Audit & Internal Controls:
1. Lead internal and external audits to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to industry standards.
2. Proactively identify financial risks and implement controls to strengthen governance.
3. Prepare for investor-driven audits and financial due diligence during funding rounds.
4. Collaborate with auditors, providing all necessary documentation and insights for smooth and timely audits.
Strategic Financial Planning:
1. Design and execute financial strategies to support short-term and long-term growth objectives.
2. Conduct detailed financial modeling and scenario analysis for new initiatives and market expansions.
3. Partner with leadership to optimize budgeting and forecasting, aligning with Fittr's growth priorities.
4. Manage fund-raising efforts by preparing investor-ready financial statements and valuation models.
Operational Efficiency:
1. Monitor cash flow and implement strategies to ensure financial sustainability in a fast-paced startup environment.
2. Review cost structures, identify inefficiencies, and execute cost-reduction initiatives.
3. Drive automation and innovation in financial operations to scale efficiently.
4. Ensure timely and efficient processing of payroll, vendor payments, and receivables.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
1. Build trust with board members, investors, and other stakeholders through transparent financial communication.
2. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for product launches, market expansions, and other strategic initiatives.
3. Maintain strong relationships with banking partners, auditors, and key service providers.
Leadership & Team Development:
1. Mentor and lead the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
2. Set up scalable processes to support the organization's growth and financial objectives.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong expertise in auditing, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment with tight deadlines.
- Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification (mandatory).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience, including exposure to startups or high-growth environments.
