Brand Marketing Lead, Top VC Backed Global Health-Tech Co

An extremely rare human-impact and wealth-creation opportunity for a passionate Brand Leader to drive US Launch & Expansion for a top VC-backed early-stage healthcare startup.


- The product has been tested to significantly improve global cancer outcomes, and is expected to increase health and longevity outcomes for 20 million lives every year. Backed by top global venture capitalists and a stellar founding team, the Brand Marketing Head will do transformative, purpose-driven work with a dynamic team over the next several years by launching and scaling the brand in the US.

The Role:

- Ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in leading brand marketing, acting like a conductor of the orchestra across social, performance, brand/PR, and program management, and demonstrates:

- Extreme Ownership : You'll be the first brand marketing lead and build the entire brand playbook and execution of a large multi-billion dollar business from zero. This requires extreme ownership of all aspects of the company, from crafting the brand ladder, to identifying the right partner agencies/individual contributors across social and PR channels and guiding an ace product/tech team to deliver performance growth funnels.

- First Principles Thinking & Innovation: The product is unique in delivering excellent clinical outcomes (40% reduction in global cancer costs; +18pp QoLS improvement) yet being an adjunct to the core treatment, which significantly expands the user-base to a wide population of people suffering from cancer and seeking to prevent cancer. Creating the right brand campaigns will require first-principles thinking-and engaging the end-users once payers/hospital systems have bought the product in an engaging way that hasn't been delivered before in health-care.

- Deep Resilience: With Cancer, Dementia, and Stroke being the largest cost-centres for business and no alternatives, the product is expected to have significant success in the US Healthcare market over the long-term. However the short-term will likely be full of rejections and disappointments given the particular complexity of US Healthcare. Persevering through ups and downs with incredible passion and resilience would be a defining trait of the selected candidate.

- Deep Love and Empathy for Users: Our target audience is in the most vulnerable state of their life, anxious about life and mortality itself. The brand marketing role should be as much about setting an awareness and revenue engine as about impacting millions very personally, deeply by getting the product in their hands.

- Brand and Company Custodian: Beyond maximising critical short-term revenue, you'll define the face of a brand that endures well beyond our lifetimes. Owns and executes very strong guidelines to create a "lovemark".

- Product Mindset: Finally, with record multi-million dollar prior exits as a founding team, we deeply value the role of technology in all aspects of workflow, including sales. You'll guide product and technology teams to deliver an industry-leading, tech-led, cutting-edge brand Strategy.

- Location: The company is headquartered in New York, USA and Goa, India. We'd love for the candidate to be based in Goa but the work location is flexible for the ideal candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

- End-to-End Brand Marketing Lead: Crafting brand vision, equity ladder, brand values, strategy, creative brief, digital executions, Above-the-Line copy, performance funnels, program leadership, Go-to-Market Approach, and activation plans.

Qualifications:

- 5 - 7 years of brand marketing experience with mastery of program leadership, developing social channels eg YouTube, LinkedIn, podcasts ("medium is the message) and Above-the-Line copy.

- Self-Starter/Early-Stage Entrepreneurship Experience: Lives for the challenge of a 100 "No's" before you hear the 1st "yes", based on previous experience as an entrepreneur or an early-stage startup employee..
