Job Summary:
Relationship Managers are responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with premium clients and partners, identifying opportunities for business growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
They are accountable for understanding customer needs, giving clients personalized advice, building rapport and providing quick responses to their inquiries.
Relationship Managers analyze the company's communication strategy, negotiations and contracts to identify trends that can improve organizational procedures and maintain a positive image in front of customers.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Conducts in-depth market research and analysis to understand premium client's needs, preferences and trends in the industry and develop strategies to meet them.
- Identifies new potential sales opportunities by finding key personnel in client companies to establish profitable opportunities across all product categories.
- Educates and informs clients about the company's products, services, upgrades and special offers.
- Networks with key clientele to improve the presence and reputation of the company.
- Generates new business and revenue opportunities through cross-selling and upselling.
- Gains solid knowledge of competitor markets and provides reports on market movement and penetration.
Sales Management:
- Manages premium client accounts and act as the main point of contact for the company.
- Develops forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans to achieve the set sales revenue goals and targets.
- Develops account strategies and customized solutions to suit client needs for driving loyalty, satisfaction, and growth.
- Generates new enquiries from existing customers and negotiates solutions that are cost-effective for the company.
- Ensures enquiry to order conversion and on time dispatch by coordination with internal teams.
- Reviews the company's sales to ensure that sales targets are being achieved and customers are getting the best value from their purchases.
- Sets specific goals for client retention, satisfaction and revenue growth.
Pricing:
- Provide market price input to the management and participate in price negotiations with clients as and when required.
Customer Management:
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients with the aim to create a partnership between the organization and its customers and provide exceptional customer service and continuous support.
- Working with clients to address their concerns, priorities, challenges and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Coordinating with the customer & the plant team for customer visits.
- Monitoring for signals that could impact client relationships and conducting periodic reviews to ensure expectations are being met.
Collections & Statutory:
- Follow-up with clients in case of credit payments and coordination with sales coordination team and accounts for the same.
- Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
Team Management:
- Collaborate across departments such as sales, marketing and product development to ensure that the client's needs are being met.
- Work with internal departments like sales coordination, production, dispatch to ensure the enquiry is followed up to conversion.
- Participate in regular meetings with the sales, marketing and product development teams and support them with customer feedback, data inputs and visits as needed.
- Provide training, coaching, development and motivation to team members as required.
- Share knowledge with other teams on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities, and needs.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
- Analysis of sales data for profitability, demand and supply trends and pricing effectiveness.
- Prepare weekly reports showing daily activities of clients visited, inquiries generated, quotations, conversions v/s actual inquiries and challenges faced.
- Maintain & report the sales figures to the management on a monthly basis.
- Offering recommendations to the management based on insights unearthed through analysis of data.
- Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate in any Discipline
- MBA will be preferred Min.
- 10+ yrs of experience in sales, client acquisition and client servicing.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Expertise regarding the company's offerings and category trends Ability to do market research and analyse information.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent sales and negotiation abilities to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
- Strategic thinker with an analytical mind to assess client portfolios and provide tailored solutions.
- Problem-solving skills to address client needs and resolve issues.
- Aptitude for fostering positive client relationships.
- Teamwork and leadership skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office, CRM software and sales reporting tools Time Management, strong organisational and planning skills to handle multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks.
