Subject Matter Expert - Decipher Survey Programming (8-16 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Decipher Survey Programming to join our team. This position requires comprehensive expertise in Decipher, from handling intricate survey programming and complex quota setups to troubleshooting and providing guidance to both clients and team members.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled programmer with experience in Python, jQuery, and JavaScript and is capable of independently managing end-to-end survey processes. In this role, you will drive best practices, maintain high standards, and ensure that all projects are delivered efficiently and error-free.

Core Responsibilities :

Survey Programming and Management :

- Independently handle complex survey setups using Decipher, managing all technical aspects of survey programming. This includes designing intricate survey logic, creating responsive layouts, and ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and platforms.

- Manage complex quota configurations and make updates as required throughout fieldwork, ensuring precise data collection and alignment with project requirements.

Advanced Scripting and Customization :

- Use Python, jQuery, and JavaScript to implement custom solutions within Decipher, allowing for enhanced functionality, dynamic question flows, and tailored respondent experiences.

- Integrate advanced logic and custom scripts to solve unique survey challenges, enhancing both usability and data quality.

Client Collaboration and Consulting :

- Provide clients with expert advice on optimizing surveys for effectiveness, guiding them on best practices for structuring questions and improving respondent engagement.

- Serve as a trusted advisor for clients on the optimal use of Decipher features, addressing both technical and strategic needs.

Team Training and Knowledge Sharing :

- Lead and mentor the survey programming team, providing training on Decipher, coding standards, and effective survey-building techniques.

- Share insights on best practices and introduce innovative solutions to increase team efficiency and accuracy.

- Review team programming work to ensure consistency with standards, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement in both code quality and survey design.

Survey Quality Control and Debugging :

- Conduct thorough quality control checks on surveys to ensure all scripts and logic are error-free.

- Debug and troubleshoot any issues in scripts or code provided by other programmers to ensure flawless survey performance.

- Review programming materials and scripts to identify potential challenges, missed scenarios, and areas that may impact data quality, taking corrective measures as needed.

Data Analysis and Issue Resolution :

- Perform in-depth data analysis using tools such as Excel, SPSS, and SQL to identify and resolve data issues, pinpointing the source of discrepancies and providing solutions to maintain data integrity.

Sample Management and Reporting :

- Oversee sample management tasks on Decipher, ensuring accurate sample tracking and control. Additionally, design and create field status reports to offer real-time insights into project progress and key metrics.

- Set up and customize reports to meet specific client requirements, presenting data in an accessible and actionable format.

Process Improvement and Standards Development :

- Establish, document, and implement standardized procedures and best practices for survey programming, ensuring that all team members adhere to high-quality standards.

- Continuously refine processes to boost efficiency and consistency in project delivery.

Supporting Skills and Qualifications :
