Experience

- Knowledge of aviation or hospitality industries is an advantage.
Educational Qualification - Qualified CA or US-CPA.
Other Requirements - Flexibility to work in US ET shift and adapt during peak periods.
Accountabilities:
1. Operations Management
- Manage the organization's federal, state, and local direct tax compliance.
- Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Manage quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.
- Ensure compliance with estimated tax payment requirements and reporting obligations.
- Provide guidance on tax implications of business transactions, restructuring, and cross-border operations.
- Review and approve tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures for financial statements.
- Manage federal tax audits, respond to inquiries, and resolve disputes with tax authorities.
- Ensure timely completion of legal/statutory audit requirements and adherence to internal company controls.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
2. Transition Support
- Support process transitions by leveraging shared service best practices for smooth implementation.
- Actively participate in migration activities, including training material preparation, service rehearsal testing, and go-live readiness.
- Provide post-go-live support during the stabilization phase.
3. Team Management
- Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and provide feedback.
- Facilitate skill development, coaching, and technical competency enhancement for team members.
- Build a high-performance culture and foster collaborative relationships.
4. Service Excellence
- Ensure delivery of services meets/exceeds KPIs and SLAs within a robust internal control framework.
- Partner with the Service Management team to develop and track SLAs, input to service reporting, and facilitate service transitions.
- Build customer relationships, improve satisfaction, and resolve escalated issues effectively.
5. Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Foster a culture of innovation aimed at driving business value.
- Ensure operational excellence through disciplined performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance profitability.
Major Activities:
- Manage and work on advanced tax software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
- Conduct analysis, problem-solving, and forecasting of tax-related transactions using technical tools.
- Track and resolve outstanding issues, escalating as necessary.
- Provide expertise in project management, supplier engagement, total cost management, and financial analysis.
