Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing (4-6 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Test Automation Development :

- Automate the test suite for web and mobile applications, improving the efficiency and coverage of testing processes.

- Design, develop, and implement an automation framework for functional, regression, load, and security testing.

- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into existing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.

Testing Execution & Defect Tracking :

- Execute system, integration, and regression testing to validate product functionality and performance.

- Detect, report, and track defects and inconsistencies in software, ensuring that issues are addressed quickly.

- Perform Load Testing and Security Testing on web services to validate scalability, efficiency, and resilience.

API and Database Testing :

- Perform API testing to ensure that the endpoints are functioning as expected.

- Use SQL queries to validate and verify the data integrity in databases, ensuring that data transactions and responses meet requirements.

Performance System Testing :

- Conduct performance testing to assess system behavior under various loads and verify scalability, efficiency, and reliability.

- Develop and execute performance tests using tools like JMeter to simulate production load conditions.

Mobile and Web Automation :

- Work on mobile automation testing for both web and native applications, ensuring a seamless testing process across multiple platforms.

- Extend and enhance the mobile and web automation frameworks to cover new features and functionalities in agile sprints.

Regression Testing :

- Handle changes in the product and perform regression tests to ensure new code updates do not impact existing functionality.

- Maintain and update automation test scripts to adapt to changes in product requirements and designs.

Collaboration & Documentation :

- Collaborate with development, product management, and security teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and alignment on requirements.

- Document test plans, cases, and results, providing clear and structured reports to stakeholders.

- Maintain organized and detailed documentation of test scenarios, automated scripts, and test results.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficiency in Selenium, JMeter, Postman, and other automation tools for web and mobile testing.

- Strong experience in API testing, database validation, and writing SQL queries for data verification.

- Hands-on experience in performance testing, load testing, and using tools like JMeter for performance validation.

- Experience working in an Agile development environment, contributing to sprint-based testing and collaborating closely with developers and product managers.

- Strong command over SQL, along with solid understanding of performance system testing, debugging, and issue resolution techniques.

Academic Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with mobile web automation testing, especially for native applications.

- Familiarity with conducting security testing for web services and understanding vulnerability assessment tools.

- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and deployment.

Certifications : Relevant certifications in software testing, cybersecurity, or other quality assurance methodologies.

Experience :

- A minimum of 3 years professional experience in manual and automation testing, including functional, database, load, and API testing.

- At least 1+ year of hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, JMeter, Postman, etc.

- Expertise in mobile and web automation testing for native applications is highly preferable.

- Proven experience in an Agile environment, where you will have automated, maintained, and executed tests throughout development cycles
