Automation Test Lead - API Testing (10-15 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the automation testing practice within the Banking/Payments domain.

- Oversee the entire automation testing lifecycle, from planning and strategy to execution and reporting, across multiple product releases.

- Manage a team of 5-10 automation testers and potentially vendor resources to deliver comprehensive test coverage.

- Develop and implement automation test strategies and plans, leveraging data-driven approaches for efficient testing.

- Design and build reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and mobile testing using tools like Appium and Python/Javascript.

- Manage test data creation, maintenance, and dynamics for effective regression testing.

- Collaborate effectively with development, testing, and product management teams to ensure seamless integration of automation testing.

Technical Skills (Must-Have) :

- 10-15 years of experience in software testing with a minimum of 5 years leading automation testing initiatives.

- Proven experience in automating UI, API, mobile native apps, and web applications using frameworks like Appium.

- Expertise in scripting languages like Python or Javascript for test automation.

- Experience with device farm tools (BrowserStack/HeadSpin) and reporting/monitoring tools (Grafana, Zephyr/Jira).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git and Jenkins.

- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.

Technical Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and distributed systems concepts.

- Knowledge of NoSQL and SQL databases.

- Experience automating non-functional requirements (usability, accessibility, multi-lingual)
