Expeditors - EDI System Analyst (3-5 yrs)

About the Role :

As an EDI System Analyst at Expeditors, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and implementing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions.

You will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of EDI systems with our core business processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for EDI solutions.

- Design and develop EDI maps and translations to ensure accurate data exchange between systems.

- Evaluate the impact of EDI changes on existing systems and processes.

- Configure and implement EDI solutions using industry-standard protocols (X12, EDIFACT, XML).

- Test and validate EDI transactions to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues.

- Monitor EDI systems for performance and errors.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for EDI solutions.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest EDI standards and technologies.

- Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements and resolve issues.

- Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Document processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and future reference.

Qualifications :

- 3-5 years of experience in EDI systems and processes.

- Strong understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT, XML).

- Proficiency in EDI mapping tools and techniques.

- Experience with EDI communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2).

- Knowledge of database concepts and SQL.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
