Operational Risk Manager

Location: Chennai

Experience: 10-13+ years

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, assess, and prioritize operational risks across the organization.

- Conduct regular risk assessments, including RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment) and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators).

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register.

- Implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls.

- Monitor and review control effectiveness to ensure they are operating as designed.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize risk exposure.

- Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure compliance with RBI, IRDAI, and other relevant regulations.

- Conduct regular compliance reviews and audits.

- Work with regulatory authorities to address any compliance issues.

- Collect, analyze, and report operational loss data.

- Identify trends and patterns in loss data to improve risk management.

- Implement measures to reduce operational losses.

- Assess and manage risks associated with third-party vendors.

- Conduct due diligence on third-party providers.

- Monitor third-party performance and compliance.

- Promote a strong risk culture within the organization.

- Conduct regular risk awareness training sessions.

- Encourage a proactive approach to risk management.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 10-13+ years of experience in risk management, preferably in the NBFC sector.

- Strong understanding of operational risk management frameworks and methodologies.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially RBI and IRDAI regulations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
