Senior Database Developer - SQL Server (6-8 yrs)

Job Description :

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and support relational database solutions in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.

- Plan and implement database backup strategies; perform recovery in case of disaster including periodic testing.

- Install and configure new databases to ensure high performance and availability.

- Develop, test, and modify SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to enhance performance.

- Implement and maintain database security by creating and managing users and roles, and assigning privileges.

- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues in real time, providing suggestions for solutions.

- Promote and recommend best practices to improve automation frameworks, including maintenance, operational requirements, disaster recovery, and security.

- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.

- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for technical processes, procedures, and training materials related to applications, databases, and systems.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors effectively.

Requirements :

- Bachelors in Comp Sc from a prestigious institute would be preferred.

- Proficient in SQL and database management systems (DBMS) Oracle, and SQL Server

- The desired person should know how to write complex SQL Queries and should have worked on the same.

- Strong knowledge of indexing and normalization.

- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
