Software Engineer - MERN Stack Technologies (4-7 yrs)

We are hiring a Software Engineer - MERN Stack for a B2B SaaS startup. This is a REMOTE role. The company has an Indian as well as a US entity.

Responsibilities :

As the Senior Software Engineer, you will build best-in-class features.

- You will report directly to the founder and work with leadership to create a long-term technical vision for the company.

- You would be responsible for shipping major features that have impact on customers. You will individually contribute and work with the team to reliably ship full features to customers.

- While this is not a managerial role, you would be the most experienced engineer on the team so far.

- You will use your prior experience to help the team "see around corners", anticipating risks and future hurdles and proactively implementing solutions to ensure smooth product function.

- You will review code and help debug bugs. Every engineer does 1 day of tech support work each week to stay close to customers and experience problems first-hand.

- Part of your work would involve optimizing older code to improve performance and make the platform more reliable for our customers.

Requirements :

- You have an extensive background in software engineering with at least 5 years of experience in a software engineer role (or equivalent) role at an early-stage SaaS company.

- You have a proven technical pedigree for building and scaling complex architectures and ecosystems for high-growth companies.

- Solid Typescript, and NodeJS skills (MERN primarily)

- You have clear architectural skills around memory management, security, event management, distributed systems, and other key architectural concepts.

- Significant experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs

- Experience with Amazon Web Services including , EC2, S3, Lambda, and SQS

- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps

- Familiarity with AI systems and a basic understanding of how training models works would be helpful in this role.
