Diagnosing and treating illnesses, medical conditions, and injuries.
Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Collecting, recording, and maintaining patients' information and histories.
Prescribing and administering treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other specialized medical care.
Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family members.
Monitoring patients' conditions and progress.
Responsible to start treatment as soon as patient arrives in Emergency/Wards and keep follow up of day to day treatment of patients by the consultants.
To provide medical treatment of critically ill patient in a shift duty” coverage.
To be present at all relevant clinical rounds.
To complete all the medical records of the patients.
To maintain log book on daily basis and get it signed by consultants.
To follow departmental guidelines relating to routine clinical duties in the ICU / Wards.
To perform routine and emergency clinical procedures as indicated.
To provide acute resuscitation for trauma and other emergencies when requested from Emergency and other hospital wards.
To examine the patients, order investigations and prescribe treatment if necessary, and to update patient records.
On call duty to be performed as per duty schedule and are expected to leave the hospital only after giving proper written handover to the doctor coming in next shift.
Counselling and communication both Verbal & Written with patients to ensure patient satisfaction.
