Assist employees with IT-related issues, both in person and remotely, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption
Network Management:Set up, configure, and maintain computer networks, including LAN, WAN, and intranet systems
Monitor network performance, ensure network security, and troubleshoot network issues as they arise
System Administration:Administer servers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and file servers
Security Management:Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure
Regularly update antivirus software, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
Hardware and Software Management:Install and upgrade computer components and software, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance
Maintain an inventory of all hardware and software assets, ensuring licenses are up to date
Data Backup and Recovery:Develop and implement data backup and recovery procedures to prevent data loss in case of system failures or disasters
Test and verify backups to ensure data integrity
Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with other IT professionals, departments, and external partners to evaluate and recommend technologies to support business needs
Communicate IT-related information effectively to non-technical staff and management
Documentation:Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures
Ensure that standard operating procedures (SOPs) are up to date and accessible to relevant personnel
Continuous Learning:Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and security threats in the IT industry
Pursue professional certifications and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Associate) are often preferred
Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and security protocols
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc
) and software applications
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
