Job Overview: The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for managing and reconciling large volumes of commission-related data from various sources with the companys internal database. This role requires advanced analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and experience working with large datasets. The Reconciliation Analyst will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of commission payments, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining up-to-date reconciled records.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of high-volume commission data with internal databases.
2. Compare commission reports from external sources with internal financial systems, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
3. Ensure all commission payments are accurately processed, recorded, and reflected in internal systems.
4. Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
5. Generate and present reconciliation reports detailing discrepancies, resolutions, and process improvements.
6. Conduct root cause analysis of recurring discrepancies in commission payments, and recommend improvements to reconciliation processes and systems.
7. Assist in automating the reconciliation process to improve efficiency and reduce errors in high-volume data management.
8. Stay updated with the companys commission structures and any changes in policies or systems that impact reconciliations.
9. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper financial reporting.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in reconciliation, accounting, or a data analysis role, with a focus on handling high volumes of data.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Ability to work independently with large datasets, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and collaborating across teams.
