Role & responsibilities
1. Responsible for coordinating, enabling, and supervising all aspects of Supply Chain operations such as supply chain planning and transportation activities across India for the PFD business.
2. Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, safety compliance and ISO requirements/ standards and develop SOPs based on policies for all aspects of supply chain in coordination with Logistics team.
3. Ensure the periodic monitoring and evaluation of logistics expenses vs the budget and track the deviations for implementing cost effective solutions for supply chain processes.
4. Ensure to supply all key deliverables on time with the appropriate quality and in the accurate quantity through both primary and secondary logistics by deploying supply chain excellence strategy at the unit level.
5. Responsible for the total fleet management and achieve the set targets of budgets, TAT and vehicle productivity.
6. Responsible for attending to any issues/bottlenecks with the goal of improving customer service and facilitating improved workflow by analysing shipping and delivery data in collaboration with sales and production departments.
7. Responsible for connecting with and negotiating with suppliers and vendors in order to secure more profitable deals.
8. Responsible for overseeing the in and out of transportation processes in order to implement effective transportation strategies for seamless and regulated operations
9. Ensure temperature control mechanisms are installed/ tracked in all Reefer vehicles (Both Primary and Secondary) and identify optimal transportation routes with a focus on order consolidation, warehousing, and distribution.
10. Responsible for identifying the equipment and manpower requirements to makes recommendations for efficient loading, unloading and movement of materials and manage L&D cost within Budget.
11. Ensure to continuously benchmark industry practices in relevant fields and provide recommendations.
12. Champion and articulate innovations and improvements pertaining to systems and processes related to the respective domain.
13. Enable team members to perform better by providing timely feedback, conducting structured performance development reviews and setting clear KRAs and providing inputs for development.
Responsible for motivating and developing team members to effectively deliver their responsibilities.
