Your role
We’re seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the SAI360 India GRC software development team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with teams across multiple platforms - including GRC, Learning, and Compliance - and report directly to the Head of GRC Technology.

At SAI360, we believe engineering managers should take a hands-on approach to stay connected with the product, understand challenges firsthand, and better support their teams. That’s why we expect this role to involve direct contributions, such as software development, test automation frameworks, test automation, manual testing, or performance testing, depending on the candidate’s expertise.

Key Responsibilities and skills

• A deep understanding of various programming languages, frameworks, and architectures used on different platforms, allowing them to effectively guide technical teams.
• Implementing consistent development methodologies, quality assurance processes, and documentation across all platforms to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Evaluating individual and team performance based on platform-specific metrics and overall project objectives.
• proven leadership capabilities to effectively oversee their technical team, manage workloads, ensure productivity and create a positive work environment.
• Establish clear roles and responsibilities, set performance objectives and provide direction to the R&D organization based on organization priority.
• Demonstrated ability to institute and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) of a high performing Engineering organization
• Brings hands-on approach to technology and willing to be a technology coach/mentor to the India Teams.
• Experience and willingness to work in a resource-contained environment to maximize the output of a smaller team with quality first initiative.
• Maintain a results-driven focus with strong collaborative and team skills, excellent communication, exceptional people management and leadership skills
• Working directly with the customers to manage and handle escalations

Experience:

• 12+ years of business in leading R&D organizations in a product company.
• Proven track record in incubating, managing and growing product development organizations and technical teams.
• Software design: Previous working experience in software design and developing SaaS platforms.
• Technology skills around the following
• .Net Framework
• .Net Core, Microservices, Web API
• Windows, Linux
• Cloud services
• Docker
• SQL and/or NoSQL Databases
• Track record demonstrating technical leadership with excellent business acumen
• Experience hiring and managing high performance R&D teams.
• Proven credibility and influence/network in local community required to attract and retain talent.
• Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships across the organizations, engage and drive change, and develop people.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Having customer interaction skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration (Master’s degree preferred)
