Data Engineer - ETL/Power BI (6-8 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, building data solutions, and supporting decision-making processes by transforming complex data into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate should be well-versed in SQL, ETL processes, and have experience with popular BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Key Responsibilities :

ETL Development: Design, implement, and maintain efficient ETL pipelines to process large sets of data from multiple sources.

Data Integration: Integrate data from diverse sources and ensure data is clean, reliable, and optimized for analysis.

Data Modeling: Develop and maintain data models to support business intelligence tools and reports.

BI Reporting: Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to assist stakeholders in data-driven decision-making.

SQL Development: Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance Optimization: Continuously improve data pipeline efficiency, data processing times, and system performance.

Data Quality: Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data in line with best practices and organizational requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience :

- 6-8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related fields.

SQL :

- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and optimization.

ETL :

- Extensive experience in building, managing, and optimizing ETL processes and workflows.

BI Tools :

- Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization and reporting tools.

Programming :

- Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for data transformation.

Data Warehousing :

- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience in managing large datasets.

Cloud Platforms :

- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g , AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.

Data Modeling :

- Experience in developing and maintaining data models that support BI and analytics.

Communication :

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and with non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.

- Familiarity with data governance, data privacy, and security best practices.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools
