Scrum Master (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

- Serve as a Scrum master for multiple scrum teams, with a focus on coaching the team on agile values and principles and the ensuing practices.

- Facilitate all Scrum events such as sprint planning, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, daily standup, backlog refinement, scrum of scrums etc.

- Deploy agile best practices such as time-boxing, code/design reviews, transparency, accountability, sprint tracking, product visioning, technical debt reduction, self-management, empowerment, continuous integration etc.

- Challenging and improving the operation of the team, improving their performance and capabilities.

- Hands on experience of scrum maturity assessment with action plan for continuous improvement.

- Embrace servant leadership and display the behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with agile methods

- Keep engineering side of project on schedule, and all parties on track and informed

- Coordinate dependencies, keep track of the critical path, and expose risk to roadmap

- Responsible for gathering of relevant project data and must produce information to be presented for review by the management

- Ability to lead cross department meetings with contradicting agendas through inclusive communication and fostering collaboration.

- Work closely with the Engineering team to understand the product & technology and contribute to product roadmap planning, scheduling, and release management.

- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.

- Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations

- Ensure the adherence of processes, entry-exit criteria during different transition phases of development process. Continuously monitor and improve the processes to remove barriers to speed.

- Be metrics driven and collect different metrics around development velocity, capacity planning, defect resolution, escaped defects etc. to provide to the management overall health of operations and make recommendations for improvement areas.

- Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality

- Measure and monitor progress to ensure application release status is transparent across the organization

- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews

- Negotiate, plan, and manage all release activities

- Continually work towards making improvements in the release process

- Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification list

Skills and experience :

- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required - B.E./B. Tech in CS, IT or related discipline.

- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience as Scrum master (some experience as a Developer or Quality assurance/testing)

- At least one agile certification (CSM, SAFe SM, SAFe RTE, ICP-ACC etc)

- Experience of stakeholder management and release management activities

- Experience of Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Trello

- Experience in overseeing agile cross-functional teams including Developers, QA, Tech Writers, UX, etc.

- Experience in managing high risk and high visibility programs that require lot of cross-team, cross-product and cross-functional coordination.

- Comfortable working in an agile SDLC environment

- Expert working knowledge of the software release process

- Ability to explain and communicate problems, issues, and go-to-green plan to business

- Strong tactical, strategic thinking, problem solving skills, and leadership

- Able to achieve big picture objectives while paying attention to details

- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills

- Experience managing projects and programs across geographical regions

- Ability to function in a team-oriented environment and influence staff, colleagues, and superiors

- Ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams and juggle multiple tasks
