Solution Architect

The ideal candidate will be an experienced senior architect, with expertise in Merchant Services. They will be comfortable managing multiple executive stakeholders, providing direction to other architects, and guiding engineers in technical implementations. They will have a proven track record in delivering architectures for legacy transformation projects,

Required experience (min 18 years exp)

Essential:

• 18+ years in architecture, including a minimum of 5 as an end-to-end solution architect.
• 3+ years in Merchant Services, Visa, Switiching
• 5+ years in banking, preferably Merchant Services
• Need to have one of these: card transaction switching, eftpos terminal processing, card transaction clearing/settlement, merchant billing

Purpose

• For architects responsible for change delivery
• The Architect defines the end to end technical architecture to support the delivery of investment slate, guiding and influencing business delivery and ensuring alignment to target state technology
• For architects responsible for target state
• Provides technical direction and leadership for the technology assets within the domain, across the technology lifecycle, maintaining the target state Architecture and Roadmap, informing the service backlog and sequencing.

Qualification Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science / information systems or equivalent technical qualification
• Architecture or technology related certifications / cloud will be an advantage
• Business acumen in banking / financial services industry will be an advantage
