SAP EDI Consultant - Implementation & Support (6-8 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and execute full lifecycle of SAP EDI projects, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go-live support.

- Deeply understand and analyze business requirements related to EDI integrations, focusing on areas such as Order-to-Cash (OTC), Logistics Execution (LE), and 3PL operations.

- Configure and maintain SAP EDI interfaces, including IDocs, ALE/PI, and other relevant technologies.

- Develop and maintain EDI mapping specifications for various standards like EDIFACT, X12, etc.

- Collaborate with business users, technical teams, and external partners to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing EDI integrations, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary enhancements.

- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies related to EDI and SAP.

- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues and risks related to EDI integrations.

- Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices for EDI implementation and support.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in SAP EDI implementation and support projects.

- 8+ years of overall SAP experience as a consultant with a proven track record of successful project delivery in complex and multi-project environments.

- In-depth functional knowledge of SAP LE (Logistics Execution), including :

- Inter-company Sales (SO/PO, STO, Inter-company Billing)

- Transportation (Freight cost pricing and settlement)

- Shipping (Packing, Loading, Post-goods issue)

- Strong understanding of SAP OTC (Order-to-Cash) cycle, encompassing Ordering, Delivery, and Billing processes.

- Experience with 3PL EDI transactions and business processes, including warehousing and transportation.

- Functional expertise with ABAP pricing routines and sales document user exits (sales order, delivery, billing).

- Strong understanding of EDI IDocs and other interfaces.

- Proven ability to gather business requirements, design solutions, and implement them through necessary SAP customizations and enhancements.-

Hands-on experience with Customer EDI Transactions and all SAP EDI configurations (Trading Partner Profiles, Output Record Maintenance, etc.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts as required.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with SAP PI/PO or other integration platforms.

- Knowledge of industry-specific EDI standards (i.e. automotive, retail).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
