Startup Operations Lead

Role Summary:

We seek a proactive Startup Operations Lead who can bridge the worlds of retail and e-commerce. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain a 360° view of a start-up, encompassing store management, e-commerce operations, logistics, and team coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in both retail and e-commerce or demonstrate a strong interest in learning and growing within these domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Contributions:

• Lead and actively engage with the retail and e-commerce teams to drive alignment, enhance collaboration, and ensure smooth communication across functions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Contribute ideas to enhance customer experience and drive sales across all channels.

Office and Retail Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening, closing, and ensuring smooth functioning.
• Manage staff rosters, provide training, and foster a positive team environment.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to reflect the brand's identity.
• Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.

E-commerce Operations:

• Collaborate with the e-commerce team to manage product listings, stock, and backend data.
• Support the coordination of supply chain activities, including working with logistics partners for timely deliveries.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels across all channels (store, website, marketplaces).

Administrative & HR Responsibilities:

• Handle administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, payroll inputs, and leave management.
• Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Foster a startup culture by promoting collaboration and adaptability among team members.
• Follow up with the CA to ensure all filings are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure bank statements are updated and reconciled regularly.
• Prepare and publish daily and monthly sales reports to track and communicate performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• 2-4 years of experience in retail, e-commerce, fashion or operations roles. (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in using AI tools and technology to enhance efficiency.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability to dynamic and changing priorities.
• Knowledge of tools like Excel, Shopify or inventory management systems is a plus.

Performance Metrics:

• Success in this role will be measured by:
• Growth in sales across retail and e-commerce channels.
• Operational efficiency improvements.

• Customer satisfaction scores.
• Timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks.
