Job Description
- Design and execute test cases to ensure software quality and performance.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product features and technical implementations.
- Perform functional, regression, system, and usability testing across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for continuous testing (using tools like Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with established software testing standards.
- Prepare and present test reports summarizing test results, defects, and recommendations.
- Work in Agile/Scrum development cycles, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Test APIs using tools like Postman to validate backend services.
- Review user stories and specifications to create detailed test plans.
- Identify process improvements and propose solutions for enhancing testing efficiency.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or similar role.
- Familiarity with various testing methodologies (Manual, Automated, Load, Performance, etc.).
- Proficiency in using automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
- Understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and continuous integration testing.
- Knowledge of API testing and web service testing (REST/SOAP).
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
