Software Service Engineer -Sterile (SITE)

Role & responsibilities

1. Program Testing and Verification, Debugging, Development:

Test developed programs for Siemens PLC/ Rockwell PLC and SCADA systems as per project-specific P&ID and Functional Specification (FS) documents during Internal FAT (IFAT) and Customer FAT (CFAT).

Bug Identification and Resolution:

2. Test, Identify and rectify software bugs and, when required, develop customizations to meet specific project needs.

Ensure accurate updates and resolutions for PLC and SCADA programs on-site.

3. Program Delivery: Test and deliver PLC and SCADA programs with a focus on quality, accuracy, and alignment with FS documentation.

Conduct thorough validations before delivering the final software solution to the customer.

4. Customer and Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, Process Engineering, Factory, and others, to ensure seamless project execution. Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams to address requirements and implement solutions effectively.

5. Participation in Project Milestones: Actively participate in project kick-off meetings, internal FATs, and customer FATs.

Provide technical inputs during these phases to ensure smooth progression of the project.

6. On-Site Customer Support:

Understand customer requirements on-site, provide technical support, and implement necessary changes to meet project needs.

Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing queries and providing resolutions before the final machine handover.

7. Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements during software development and deployment.

Maintain comprehensive documentation for all software modifications, testing, and support activities.

8. Additional Skills and Attributes:

Strong knowledge of Siemens/Rockwell Automation software.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&ID and FS documentation.

Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills for PLC and SCADA systems.

Strong coordination and communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional teams.

Ability to create and deliver accurate technical documentation and reports.

- Flexibility for frequent travel based on project needs.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

35 years of experience working with Rockwell Automation software, including RSLogix, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View., preferably in sterile pharmaceutical or related industries.

OR

35 years of experience working with Siemens PLCs and WinCC SCADA systems, preferably in sterile pharmaceutical or related industries.

Other Requirements:

Ability to frequently travel to customer sites for on-site support and program implementation.

Flexibility to adapt to dynamic project needs and timelines.
