Job Description
- The ideal candidate must have atleast 5 years of strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL databases with
good background in database administration, development, performance tuning and high availability solutions
- Strong knowledge on PostgreSQL architecture, internals and best practices
- Database administration: Backup and restore strategy and tools, performance tuning, database creation and managing, disaster recovery plans and knowledge on failover/switchover
- Database design and development: Optimization of complex sql query, assistance in development and implementation of database best practices, user creation and access management
- Performance tuning: Knowledge on good indexing strategies
- Security and compliance: Knowledge on database security principles and practices (RLS, pg_audit, encryption etc..)
- Good to know latest PostgreSQL features and industry trends
- Need to have cloud knowledge, experience with cloud-based database solutions is a plus
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and technique
