Job Description

Role: COBOL Developer

Location: Chennai, India.

Full-time permanent position

Infotel India Consulting (part of Infotel Group) is seeking a talented COBOL Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing COBOL applications within a mainframe environment. Youll work closely with analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and enhance existing systems to meet business needs. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects in a collaborative team environment, providing you with excellent opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain COBOL applications and programs.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
Perform debugging and troubleshooting to resolve defects and issues within applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide solutions.
Write technical documentation and provide training and support to users as needed.
Participate in system testing and user acceptance testing activities.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a COBOL Developer, ideally 3+ years in mainframe environments.
