Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in product development who has transitioned into product marketing, and now wants to leverage their expertise in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Positioning & Messaging:
- Define and refine the product positioning, ensuring it resonates with target customers.
- Develop compelling messaging that communicates the product's value proposition and differentiates it from competitors.
- Create clear, consistent, and impactful product narratives for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support) to develop comprehensive go-to-market plans.
- Lead product launches, ensuring alignment across teams and a smooth roll-out process.
- Develop and execute effective product release communication strategies.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor strategies.
- Monitor industry changes, customer feedback, and competitor activities to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
Customer & Sales Enablement:
- Create customer-facing materials (e.g., product brochures, presentations, case studies) to support sales teams and drive conversions.
- Empower the sales team with tools and knowledge to position the product effectively.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally to drive product development and improvements.
Data-Driven Marketing:
- Analyze product performance metrics, user adoption rates, and customer feedback to measure the success of marketing initiatives.
- Use insights from data to optimize marketing strategies and guide decision-making.
Collaboration with Product Development:
- Leverage your product development background to work closely with the Product team to communicate customer pain points and feature requests.
- Ensure product marketing strategies align with development roadmaps and customer expectations.
Content Creation & Management:
- Develop a variety of content assets, including blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, videos, and product demos, to educate prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with content and digital marketing teams to amplify product awareness.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of product marketing initiatives with broader company objectives.
- Maintain strong communication with senior leadership to provide updates on product marketing performance and key insights.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in Product Marketing, with a strong preference for candidates who have transitioned from Product Development roles.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and marketing products in a B2B or SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of the product lifecycle, from development through to market adoption.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions and measure success.
- Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in managing and executing go-to-market strategies.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM software (preferably Salesforce), and product management tools (Jira, Confluence).
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus).
