Software Quality Assurance Engineer - ISTQB/Cypress (3-5 yrs)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our client's team on a Contract/ Temporary basis. This role requires a commitment of 3 hours per day. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products, using modern testing techniques, tools, and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure software functionality and performance meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify potential issues early in the development lifecycle.

- Write and maintain automated tests using tools such as Jest, Cypress, and Puppeteer.

- Work with development teams to debug and resolve issues found during testing.

- Create and maintain detailed, accurate, and well-organized documentation of test results, including defect tracking in JIRA.

- Utilize TDD (Test Driven Development) and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) methodologies, with Gherkin syntax for automated tests.

- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and test across multiple browsers to verify consistent behavior.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript and Java.

- Experience with test automation tools such as Jest, Cypress, Puppeteer.

- Familiarity with database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).

- Strong understanding of TDD and BDD methodologies.

- Experience with Agile development processes and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- ISTQB or other relevant software testing certification is a plus.

Work Schedule :

- This is a Contractual/temporary position requiring approximately 3 hours per day.

- Flexible work hours are possible, but the role expects a daily time commitment of 3 hours spread throughout the day.

- You will have the ability to work remotely or on a flexible schedule, depending on the team's needs.
