Job Summary:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Finance and Accounts Analyst to join our dynamic finance team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting financial analysis, accounting, and reporting functions within the organization.
- This role involves assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial performance, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and analyze key financial metrics, including profitability, cost management, and performance ratios.
- Generate ad hoc financial reports as needed for management.
Account Reconciliation:
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger, and other financial accounts.
- Investigate discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Track and report budget variances, providing insight into financial performance.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and company policies.
- Assist with audits and implement best practices in financial accounting processes.
Transaction Processing:
- Support the accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Review and process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation of employee benefits.
Financial Systems & Tools:
- Utilize financial software and ERP systems for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in financial systems.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and vendors, as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's / master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is a plus.
Experience:
- 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis roles.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, data analysis, and account reconciliation.
- Experience with accounting software (e., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.) is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Good understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
