Shopify Developer/Lead

Primary Responsibilities

• Build, implement and operate the technology platforms (I.e., Shopify Components) that enable personalized content, commerce and marketing user-centric experiences.
• Act as a Shopify expert, specializing in all facets of the eCommerce platform Collaborating with the UX and UI design teams to produce seamless, robust, and innovative front-end user experiences.
• Ensure smooth connection with the Shopify Apps, Marketing Tools, and Platform APIs.
• Generating custom-tailored Shopify themes and altering pre-existing templates while working closely with project managers to address requests from business units.
• Debug and test global eCommerce websites regularly to optimize performance.
• Offer coordination and technical support to protect the company against failure. Understand the business needs that drive project features & functions and provide internal consultation.
• Work closely with the Digital leadership team to align global commerce technology strategies with global revenue and customer acquisition goals.
• Contribute to the end-to-end technical discovery process as needed to help businesses make informed decisions regarding their technology investments.
• Develop modifications to existing integrations and components while minimizing customization, design reusable components, and elimination of redundancy in designs throughout team's environment.

Key Skills

• Expert in JavaScript, ReactJS, NodeJS, VUE, DOM, CSS3 and HTML5.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in Implementing Shopify Ajax API, Admin APIs and configuring third party apps as well as knowledge of building custom, private and embedded apps
• Previous experience in debugging or implementing 3rd-party Shopify applications and making unique solutions when its required.
• Has working knowledge in liquid templating and theming system of Shopify.
• Must carry expertise and knowledge with jQuery, current frameworks of JavaScript, vanilla JavaScript, and ES2015/ES6
• Must carry working knowledge of Shopify properties or objects, Meta fields, and AJAX API.
• Must possess debugging and testing abilities utilizing browser console and various other tools.
• Must have the ability to provide proactive feedback and interact effectively.
• Working knowledge in 3rd-party APIs and services along with Shopify plugins.
• Previous experience in creating responsive and unique layouts for mobile devices, tablets, and desktops.
• Excellent ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Business owner mentality, willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary.
• Team player with a positive, collaborative work ethic.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+years-9+ years of experience in Shopify and/or similar Commerce Saas software
• 7+ years of experience in building marketing solutions at scale for midsize and/or enterprise companies.
• Bachelors degree
