Job Description
REQUIRED FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM security
- Provide PeopleSoft functional consulting services for Sierra-Cedar s internal PeopleSoft applications including but not limited to PeopleSoft Core HR, PeopleSoft Payroll for N.A., and PeopleSoft Benefits Administration by acting as subject matter expert.
- PeopleSoft Absence Management experience, preferred
- Ability to develop reports in BI Publisher and create PS Queries
- Ability to facilitate functional design requirement sessions and create functional design specifications.
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
- Communicates clearly and effectively with Sierra-Cedar team members and management
- Takes initiative and works independently. Follows through on all assignments and takes ownership of issues
- Provides work effort coordination between remote and onsite resources utilizing regularly scheduled conference calls, web sessions, and meetings as required
- Maintains an effective relationship with team members and management a true team player
- Displays effective analytical and organizational skills. Reports progress to internal PeopleSoft project manager.
- Effectively manages scope and expectations on individual assignments
- Produce functional specifications for development requests. Works closely with technical developers, end users, and project managers to create world class solutions for Sierra-Cedar s internal PeopleSoft applications
- Configure the PeopleSoft Core HR, PeopleSoft Payroll, and PeopleSoft Benefits Administration system to meet Sierra-Cedar s internal business requirements
- Develop and execute test plans including unit, integration, and full end-to-end tests for application enhancements, patching, and upgrades. Facilitates user acceptance testing.
- Provide quality formal and informal documentation such as functional specifications and training guides
- Assists Sierra-Cedar s internal team in fully integrating the PeopleSoft system into their current business environments and provides input on best practices
- Advises internal PeopleSoft teams on options, risks, and any impacts on other processes or systems
