Azure Security Engineer

Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect Azure resources and services.

Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to identify potential threats.

Configure and maintain Azure Security Center, Azure Defender, Azure Policy, and Azure Monitor to ensure optimal security posture.

Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for cloud environments.

Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and other teams to integrate security best practices into the deployment and development processes.

Monitor and respond to security incidents, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Stay updated with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements impacting cloud security.

Assist in the design and implementation of identity and access management, including Azure Active Directory and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Create and maintain security documentation, including incident reports, system configurations, and network diagrams.

Provide training and guidance to internal teams on Azure security tools and protocols.

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in cloud security, preferably in Microsoft Azure environments.

Strong knowledge of Azure Security Center, Azure Defender, Azure Sentinel, and other Azure security tools.

Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory, identity management, and role-based access control (RBAC).

Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.

Experience with network security concepts, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption protocols.

Proficiency in scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines.

Experience with Security Information and Event Management tools, particularly Azure Sentinel.

Familiarity with container security (Kubernetes, Docker) and securing serverless architectures.

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
