About the role:
Sidel is seeking a Software Lifecycle Management Support Specialist to join our Center of Excellence for Software Development and DevOps Enablement. As a key member of the team, reporting to the IT Business Partner Digital Innovation Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective integration, optimization, and management of GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps platforms.

You will be part of a high-performing team with extensive consulting and industry expertise, responsible for driving best practices in software lifecycle management and enabling seamless DevOps workflows. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities, capture business requirements, and deliver detailed process documentation and recommendations.

The position emphasizes not only technical excellence but also strategic contributions to ensure that our software development processes remain robust, scalable, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Objective of the Role Responsibilities:

- Supports the identification and prioritization of DevOps optimization opportunities by analyzing existing workflows, gathering business input, and drawing on cross-functional team resources to ensure the effective utilization of GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps.
- Accountable for business engagement and benefits tracking/management, ensuring that implemented solutions deliver measurable improvements to development pipelines and lifecycle efficiency.

- Maintains oversight of project deliverables and communicates progress effectively to stakeholders, including business units and global technology teams.

- Captures detailed business and technical functional requirements in an agile software development environment, translating high-level objectives into actionable tasks.

- Decomposes and documents requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories, defining both functional and non-functional specifications to ensure clarity and alignment.

- Facilitates the development of acceptance criteria for user stories and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align expectations and outcomes.

- Acts as an advocate and evangelist for GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps capabilities, conducting talks, demos, and workshops to showcase value and drive adoption across business units and development teams.

- Defines and manages User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by creating test books, coordinating schedules, and ensuring successful validation of features and workflows.

- Builds and nurtures strong relationships with a community of DevOps leaders and practitioners, establishing working groups to identify continuous improvement opportunities and maintain a healthy pipeline of process enhancements.

- Supports operational transition activities, including training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure smooth adoption and sustained operational success.

- Analyzes requirements for impacted systems and formulates technical specifications to guide integration and workflow adjustments as needed.

- Develops app mockups or prototypes when necessary to facilitate business discussions and requirement elicitation.

- Contributes to the design, development, and testing of GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps implementation processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

- Proficient in software security and vulnerability management, ensuring DevOps pipelines are secure and adhere to compliance standards, while guiding teams on best practices for secure coding and vulnerability remediation

Experience:

- Minimum three years of recent experience as a technical support specialist or business analyst in an Agile environment, with a focus on software lifecycle management.
- Proven hands-on experience with GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps in a professional setting.

Education:

- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of Git workflows, GitHub Actions, and Azure Pipelines.
- Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and best practices. ( GitHub Action Azure pipeline)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
- Ability to formalize complex technical requirements into clear and actionable user stories for developers.
- Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, or PowerShell, with the ability to write scripts for automation, tooling, and integration tasks and common IDE s like Visual studio / Visual studio code .

Proficiency in software security and vulnerability management:

- Including familiarity with tools and methodologies for secure code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and compliance enforcement , ex github advanced security feaures ( code scanning , dependabot , secret scanning)

Agile Expertise:

- Experience in writing requirements and functional specifications for DevOps solutions using Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in decomposing Epics into Features and User Stories, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Business Acumen:

- Strong ability to identify process optimization opportunities and automation potentials within software development workflows.
- IT affinity with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams effectively.

Soft Skills:

- Ability to take strategic direction from executive management and deliver actionable solutions.
- Initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, with a fail fast, learn fastmindset.
- Strong storytelling and visualization skills to effectively communicate ideas and progress.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.

Certifications (Preferred):

- Scrum Master Certification or equivalent Agile credentials.
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Certification.
