Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Strategy & Planning:
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, new business opportunities, and potential competitors in the IT industry.
- Analyze client needs and industry demands to formulate a strategy for targeted business development.
- Opportunity Identification: Develop a pipeline of potential clients and sectors where the company's IT solutions can provide value.
- Identify key business opportunities, including new IT projects, managed services, and digital transformation initiatives.
Strategic Planning:
- Define and execute business development strategies to drive the adoption of the company's IT products and services.
- Develop detailed business plans that align with company goals, revenue targets, and market trends.
Sales Target Management:
- Set and achieve specific sales targets and KPIs related to revenue generation, new client acquisition, and business expansion within the IT domain.
Client Relationship Management:
Building Relationships:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with potential and existing clients, focusing on senior executives and decision-makers across various industries.
Client Needs Assessment:
- Engage with clients to understand their IT challenges, requirements, and long-term goals.
- Propose tailored solutions to address these needs, driving customer satisfaction and business retention.
Solution Selling:
- Present the company's IT offerings in a compelling way, clearly communicating the value proposition of products and services.
- Leverage technical and business insights to highlight how the company's solutions meet clients' business objectives.
Contract Negotiation:
- Manage negotiations on contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure that contracts reflect mutually beneficial terms for both the company and the client.
Post-Sales Relationship:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the implementation phase and beyond.
- Address any issues, provide regular updates, and ensure customer satisfaction with the IT solutions delivered.
Lead Generation & Sales Execution:
Lead Generation:
- Develop strategies to generate high-quality leads through networking, industry events, direct outreach, and inbound marketing initiatives.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within targeted industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail, etc.
Sales Presentations:
- Create and deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, demonstrating how the company's IT solutions align with their needs.
Pipeline Management:
- Manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely follow-ups, and conversion of leads into contracts.
Cross-Selling & Upselling:
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional IT solutions or services to existing clients, maximizing revenue potential.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with marketing, technical, and delivery teams to create effective sales collateral, case studies, and promotional materials.
- Ensure alignment between business development and service delivery teams to fulfill client expectations.
Product/Service Feedback:
- Share client feedback with product management and technical teams to help refine and improve the company's IT offerings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to adapt the solutions to market demands.
Training & Development:
- Provide internal teams with updates on new business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape to ensure that sales and technical teams are equipped to address client needs.
Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership:
Industry Trends:
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in the IT industry, including cloud computing, AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, and enterprise software solutions.
- Understand how these technologies can be leveraged to meet business challenges.
Networking & Industry Events:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and webinars to build brand awareness and expand the network of potential clients.
- Stay connected to the broader IT community and identify opportunities for business development.
Thought Leadership:
- Position yourself as a thought leader in the IT space by publishing articles, blogs, or white papers on emerging IT trends, case studies, or success stories from clients.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Performance Metrics:
- Track and report on the performance of business development activities, including lead generation, sales conversion rates, revenue growth, and market penetration.
CRM Management:
- Utilize CRM systems to manage client relationships, monitor progress on leads, and track sales activities.
- Ensure that data is accurately recorded and analyzed to inform business decisions.
Forecasting:
- Prepare sales forecasts and projections based on identified opportunities and historical data to help inform company growth strategies.
Required Qualifications::
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the IT/ITES industry, preferably with a background in IT solutions, software services, or digital transformation.
- Proven track record of generating new business, closing deals, and meeting sales targets in the IT sector.
- Experience in working with both large enterprises and small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to understand their IT needs and propose relevant solutions.
- Knowledge of IT outsourcing models, cloud services, managed IT services, and other industry-specific solutions.
Skills:
Business Acumen:
- Strong understanding of the IT landscape and the ability to identify market opportunities for innovative solutions.
Relationship Building:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Sales Skills:
- Experience in managing the sales process, from lead generation to closing.
- Ability to negotiate contracts and handle complex sales cycles.
Presentation & Proposal Development:
- Skilled in creating compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- CRM Tools: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage client relationships and sales activities.
Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to develop long-term strategies and align business development efforts with overall company goals.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant business development certifications preferred.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
