Consultant radiologist

Key Responsibilities:

• Image Interpretation: Review and interpret a variety of diagnostic images, such as X-rays, ultrasounds, to identify and diagnose medical conditions or abnormalities.
• Diagnosis: Provide accurate and timely diagnoses based on imaging results. Communicate findings to referring physicians and healthcare teams to support treatment planning.
• Consultation: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnosis, treatment options, and management plans for patients.
• Procedure Performance: In some cases, perform interventional radiology procedures, such as biopsies and minimally invasive surgeries.
• Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort during imaging procedures. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel at ease.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records of patient diagnoses, imaging results, and treatments.
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality and accuracy of imaging results by working with imaging equipment technicians to maintain proper functioning and safety standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualifications:

• MBBS Degree: A basic medical degree from a recognized institution.
• MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Radiology or DMRD (Diploma in Medical Radiology and Imaging)

• Active medical license in the state of practice

Work Experience:

• Experience in Radiology: 1-3 years of experience as a radiologist is expected, particularly in handling ultrasound.
• Fellowships or Training: Additional training or fellowships in fetal medicine is an added benifit but not compulsory.
