The (Senior) Engineer, Network Engineering Data Services works closely with SES Networks customers, Product teams and Operation teams to design, implement, maintain, and monitor SES Network products and the customers premise equipment at remote locations. This role will be responsible for implementing and testing internal and customers networks end-to-end.
In this role, the position holder will serve as Subject Matter expert in the field of communication services and applications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS
Provide implementation support for all SES Network related services sold to our customers
Interact daily with SES teams responsible for activating and supporting SES service to our customer base
Support network service activation for the Maritime Cruise and Aero industry
Provide Level 3 support for Network Operations Centre
Manage the relationship with peers and third parties to deliver a successful and optimized network and Satellite environment
Create, disseminate and (as required) update documentation of SES Networks of identified network processes, procedures, and controls
Work directly with customers and other internal departments and organizations to facilitate networks engineering implementation, and acceptable levels service
Manages tools required to efficiently operate within the networking team specifically Monitoring and management tools
Follow up on deficiencies identified in monitoring reviews, self-assessments, automated assessments, and internal and external audits to ensure that appropriate remediation measures have been taken
Provide Pre-Sales support as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s degree in IT or equivalent filed 5+ years of experience in MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, IP Transit, Carrier Ethernet, CG-NAT 5+ years of experience of deployment experience of Quality of Service within a network CCNP, or CCDP, or JNCIP is a must CCIE, JNCIE certification is a plus Extensive TCP/IP and routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, BFD) Familiarity with the Cisco and Juniper routing and switching product lines Professional level at various IGP protocols Professional level knowledge of Switching Protocols Professional level in BGP protocol Expertise on Service provider and Enterprise networks Expertise on Versa SD-WAN solutions Experience with network security and network management Be proficient on Linux, and Windows servers Experience in Satellite Communication systems preferred
OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS / COMMENTS
On-call duties will be required 24/7 on a rotational basis
