ELV Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Summary
Candidate must have 3 to 4 years of experience in Security Systems design and estimation. He/she will report to Head of Presales and directly work with sales team & clients, collaborate with CAD, operations and administration. Candidate should possess an engineering degree with Electronics/Computers/ Electrical as major.
Must Have Skills:
†Must have expertise in designing medium size to large-scale integrated physical security solutions, including CCTV, ANPR, Access Control, Gate Barrier, Intercom, Digital Signage, Passive and Active Networking Systems. Fire detection system
†Must have experience in proposal document and estimation sheet preparation.
• Must have knowledge in DPS /SIRA, MCC, NFPA and other industry regulations for designing a security solution as per standards.
• Experience in reviewing CAD drawing and provide inputs to CAD department.
• Send technical requirements to manufacturers/ Distributors/sub-contractors and request a competitive quotation. Negotiate for best prices and lead delivery terms.
• Experience in below products is of high advantage: Milestone, Axis, Maxxess, Lenel, Gentec, Samsung, Pelco, Seetec, SSK, HID, Kerisys, Suprema, Commend, Comelit, Fermax, Commscope, Belden, Excel, HP, CISCO, Allied Telesis, Rasilient, CAME, Boon Edam, Magnetic, Crestron, Dahua, Hikvision Bosch, etc (and-or) Equivalent products.

Nice to Have Skills:
• Candidates with expertise in designing Structured Cabling, Intrusion Detection, Intercom, PABX, Digital Signage.
• Experience in bid management, attending pre/post tender meetings, solution presentations.
• Experience in presenting the designed solution/architecture in post tender meetings and solution presentations to client/contractor.
• Able to manage manufacturers/ Distributors/sub-contractors, establish business relations and do commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

Examining drawings and designs, specifically for ELV systems.
Preparation of bid documents including drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
Preparation of BOQ from the designed details or from the drawing or from the details of the site survey records.
Preparation and maintenance of all related drawings records and files with you for the submission and future reference Site survey, meeting clients contractors or sub-contractors if required as part of the designing or estimation requirements Prepare and deliver detailed product demonstrations and technical presentations to prospect customers and partners for various market segments.
Price negotiation with the supplier as part of the presales to get target price of the materials for the project Meet suppliers, vendors or distributors to get discounted price of the materials Get all authority approval as part of the project requirement and completion Submit and get approvals of Material and Technical submittals for all executing projects.

  • Prepare quotes, designs, & proposals.
  • Prepare projects BOQ, cost calculations, specifications, and design drawings.
  • Prepare submittals and proposal binders.
  • Constant follow up with suppliers to know about new products.
  • Implement Company quality system.
  • Prepare reports (monthly, annual etc).
  • Train Company staff on selected topics.
  • Prepare projects documentation, manuals & drawings.
