Job Description
As a Senior Java Developer , you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Java and related technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, architects, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Java programming, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, and exhibit leadership qualities in guiding and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications in line with business requirements.
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of new features and enhancements.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security, while adhering to industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new functionality.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and security.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production and development environments.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools relevant to Java development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Java development, with deep knowledge of Java 8+.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience with frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and web services.
- Proficient in databases such as NoSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of build tools like Maven or Gradle, and version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus .
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is desirable.
