Senior Business Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will analyze, interpret, and translate complex business requirements into actionable insights and technical specifications.

This dual-role position requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise in data analysis, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and development teams.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Have a good technical understanding of BI tools that are used to develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data findings clearly to stakeholders.
Have a good understanding of big data technologies and experienced in handling and processing of large volume of data.
Validate and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Used tools like SQL, Python, Informatica Powercenter, PySpark, MicroStrategy/Tableau to perform data manipulation and visualization.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
Prepare technical mapping documents for the dataflow between sources and target systems.
Develop detailed specifications for development teams, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
Technical Collaboration
Work closely with development teams to design and implement data solutions.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective communication.
Interpret the existing code logic and suggest necessary code conversion procedures to scale the code to new tech platforms and ensuring the business logics are carried through.
Support testing efforts, including data validation and troubleshooting issues during development and deployment phases.
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose data-driven solutions.
Resolve any performance issue in datapipelines.
Recommend improvements to reporting, analytics, and data management practices.
Documentation and Communication:
Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs.
Prepare dataflow diagrams for the business cases and help the dev teams to understand the overall flow.
Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, MicroStratergy).
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
Excellent understanding of database concepts and data modeling.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with ETL processes and tools.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Data Analytics.
