Assistant Manager - Human Resource
Key Responsibilities:
Core HR Process Management:
- Drive and streamline HR processes, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently on autopilot.
- Implement HR best practices to improve operational efficiency and ensure consistency across the organization.
Learning & Development:
- Conduct Skills Gap Analysis and identify training needs across departments.
- Organize on-the-job training programs and workshops to enhance employee skill sets.
- Collaborate with business units to design and implement tailored learning interventions.
Employee Engagement:
- Design and execute employee engagement programs, including communication forums, training, outbound programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Plan and roll out an annual/quarterly employee engagement calendar that includes activities aimed at enriching employee experience and promoting work-life balance.
- Analyze employee engagement metrics (such as survey results, focus groups) to identify trends and adjust initiatives accordingly.
- Lead employee wellbeing initiatives to promote a healthy work environment and support employee satisfaction.
Talent Management:
- Identify high-potential employees and develop personalized career development plans aligned with the company's talent management strategy.
- Oversee the implementation and deployment of career development plans, ensuring that employees are supported and guided through their growth journeys.
Performance Management & Retention:
- Partner with business units to support performance management initiatives, including performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees.
- Monitor employee performance, retention, and attrition trends and collaborate with managers to address any challenges.
- Conduct exit interviews and use feedback to improve retention strategies and enhance the employee experience.
HR Strategy and Process Improvement:
- Take on HR strategic projects as needed, focusing on process improvement, organizational development, and other key HR initiatives.
- Partner with the Head HR to drive organizational change and employee engagement strategies.
Rewards & Recognition:
- Support the development and execution of a rewards and recognition program that highlights employee achievements and fosters a positive work culture.
- Ensure that recognition programs align with company values and contribute to employee motivation and morale.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on HR-related initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on various HR topics such as employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel to plant locations once a month to oversee HR activities and ensure consistency in engagement initiatives across sites.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- University Degree or MBA in Human Resource Management.
- 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on employee engagement, performance management, and learning & development.
- Proven experience in managing HR processes, including onboarding, employee performance, retention strategies, and engagement initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data management and reporting (Excel proficiency).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires high responsibility, accountability, and agility.
- Proactive approach with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in managing HR processes for a manufacturing company is a plus.
- Knowledge of HRIS and other HR software tools.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment and adapt to changes quickly.
